DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY: On April 30, 2000, Saint Pope John Paul II proclaimed that the entire Church observe the 2nd Sunday of Easter as the Sunday of Divine Mercy. On this day he elevated Sister Faustina, as the apostle of divine mercy, to sainthood, becoming the first saint of the third millennium.
FROM THE DIOCESE AND BISHOP PEREZ: Beginning Divine Mercy Sunday (April 28) we will be changing our Communion Rite posture to reflect the original policy, first established in 2003. We will remain standing after the Lamb of God, throughout the singing of the Communion hymns, until the end of the distribution of Holy Communion. Once the last person has received Holy Communion, we may kneel or sit for private prayer.
BENEDICTINE HIGH SCHOOL: On May 1st, 2019 10:30 AM, Benedictine High School will celebrate a Tridentine Mass in honor of St. Joseph the Worker at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church 9016 Buckeye Rd. Cleveland, OH. 44104. This is the final all-school Mass of the year for the students, who have the daily opportunity of Mass at the High School chapel. All are welcome and invited!
SACRAMENTS: Anyone wishing to receive the sacrament of baptism or confirmation please contact the Rectory.

THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS: will be offered every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th (if there is one) Saturday every month at 9 A.M. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. THERE IS NO LATIN MASS ON HOLY SATURDAY.

HEARTFELT THANKS AGAIN TO ALL volunteers who helped with preparations for the Easter celebration: providing the liturgical music and singing and liturgical assistance, decorating the church, obtaining the flowers, publicity of the Holy Week services, cleaning and beautifying the church grounds inside and outside, Thank you for your donations for the Easter flowers. Total flower donation was $290. The cost of the flowers was $448.
THE CLEVELAND HUNGARIAN MUSEUM’S next presentation — May 11 at 2 PM. Marcia Hansen Kraus, author of the book George Szell’s Reign. The author asked Miklos Peller to also speak about Szell’s vision for Blossom Music Center, which is Miklos’s unique engineering accomplishment.
