FROM THE DESK OF FR. BONA: Today I would like to share with you an interesting tidbit about our parish. According to canon law, there are two types of parishes: territorial (encompasses people living in a given territory) and personal (membership is determined by reason of the rite, language, nationality or some other factors). For a long time I assumed that we are a personal parish. I came to find out that we are both. In 1980s we have been given some small territory (as encouragement to be involved in the evangelization of the neighborhood) and we are also a personal parish for the Hungarians in the Diocese of Cleveland who do not belong to other Hungarian parishes. This has some advantages, but also comes with extra obligations. I keep you all in my prayers! Fr. Bona
