TODAY-THE FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI, THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST. Corpus Christi (Body and Blood of Christ) is a Eucharistic solemnity, or better, the solemn commemoration of the institution of that sacrament. It is, moreover, the Church’s official act of homage and gratitude to Christ, who by instituting the Holy Eucharist gave to the Church her greatest treasure.

NEW COVID 19 DIRECTIVES : The Catholic Bishops of Ohio have graciously recommended to have a „soft opening” of our Catholic churches for public worship this Sunday, Pentecost Sunday, May 31, 2020. On that same note, Administrator of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese, Rev. Fr. Donald Oleksiak, has recommended that we softly open with the public celebration of our weekday Masses on Monday,  May 25. Please note that that this „soft” opening of public celebration of Masses is temporal and will continue until the situation becomes normal. Please watch this informative video in which Fr. Some of the  guidelines which we must adhere to: The faithful are obliged to wear a face mask upon entering the church and during the celebration of Mass except for the brief moment of receiving Holy Communion (in the hand); Seating is to be such that 6 feet of distancing should be maintained between members of one household and another.  Anyone not feeling well or vulnerable, should   stay home. A  SZENT ERZSÉBET RÓMAI KATOLIKUS MAGYAR EGYHÁZKÖZSÉG ÉRTESÍTŐJE

ÚRNAPJA – Mai vasárnap Krisztus Teste és Vére Főünnep van. A katolikus egyház 1264 óta tartja ezt az ünnepet, IV. Orbán pápa tette kötelező ünneppé. Napja eredetileg a Szentháromság vasárnapja utáni csütörtök volt és sok helyen ma is akkor ünneplik, a húsvét utáni 60. napon.

Részletes leírás olvasható az egyházmegyei rendeletekben, ugyankkor kérem a következők betartását: 6 láb távolság, maszk viselete, amelyet az egyházmegye előír, fizikai kontaktus kerülése, kézbe való áldozás, a szentmise után türelmesen távozzunk a templomból, nem egyszerre. Az idősebbek továbbra is a nagyobb figyelmet fordítsanak saját egészségük érdekében önmagukra és környezetükre, tehát akinek súlyosabb krónikus, légúti betegsége van, azok továbbra is maradjanak otthon.
