MASS INTENTIONS FOR THE COMING WEEK:

January17Sunday9:15 AMFor the Parishioners of St. Elizabeth and St. Emeric

FROM THE DESK OF FR. BONA: On December 8, Pope Francis announced through his apostolic letter Patris corde (With a Father’s Heart) a year of Saint Joseph. It was 150 years ago that Blessed Pope Pius IX declared Saint Joseph to be the Patron of the Universal Church. The year, which runs from December 8, 2020 to December 8, 2021, is to celebrate and help us meditate on the example of Saint Joseph. In addition to the papal document proclaiming the Year of St. Joseph, the Apostolic Penitentiary also issued a decree setting out the conditions for obtaining indulgences connected to the Year of Saint Joseph. I will write more on this and the year of Saint Joseph in the future issues of our bulletin. God bless! Fr. Bona
