Invitation to the 125th anniversary of the founding of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish

Dear Parishioners,

We gladly inform you, that we will be celebrating the 125th anniversary of the founding of our parish on October 15 :of this year. It is incredible for us as parishioners to think that our St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, under the leadership of Fr. Charles Boehm, built the first Hungarian Roman Catholic Church in America. This fact makes our jubilee celebration all the more meaningful.

The celebratory thanksgiving Mass will be held at 11 :00 AM with Bishop Roger Gries, OSB, retied auxiliary bishop of Cleveland, as the main celebrant. After the commemorative Mass, we are holding a celebratory banquet in Boehm Hall. The cost of the jubileee lunch is $30 for adults and $15 for students. It is recommended that you think about and determine your attendance as soon as possible because we are restricted by the number of seats that can be sold. Once all of the seats have been filled, we cannot sell any additional tickets. The deadline for reserving a seat will
be announced in the bulletin at a later date.

If you have any questions, you may inquire after Mass, call the rectory, or view the weekly bulletin on the parish’s website.

Sincerely,
Rev. András Antal, Pastor

I am not a member of your parish. And i am only now looking for first time at your bulletin. My reason to comment is to report what i call a miracle from praying at the Grave of your Msgr Charles Boehm. From november 1st thru the 15th i went daily to pray at his Tomb, for my daughter JOAN. And some of ‘the ice’ melted on the 15th day. It is to me an exciting miracle, but needs to unfold more. So it came to my mind just now, that i should tell you this, and then in turn my urgent miracle will be bigger. God Bless you. I live in garfield hts, so i am only one mile from this cemtery. One other thing, WHEN JOAN WAS THREE i gave her a spray bottle of Holy Water and she randomly sprinkled graves , then she stopped and gave ONE SPOT all the Holy Water she had. I wondered whose grave? Then i read , msgr charles boehm. That was 25 years ago, but i never forgot. Then came to my mind before All Saints Day, that maybe msgr boehm would help Joan….
