FROM THE DESK OF FR. BONA: Another week, another conference to suggest. The 2021 Catholic Men’s Conference, the virtual event will include all the hallmarks of previous conferences.  The first session of the daylong program, presented by the Catholic Men’s Fellowship of Northeast Ohio, begins at 9 a.m. March 13 with prayer and reflection.  The day will include a presentation by Peter Herbeck of Renewal Ministries on “A Call to Holiness.” Greg Wasinski of Let Me Be Ministries, will speak on the Eucharist and Deacon Larry Oney’s topic will be “Hope and Transformation.” Father Michael McCandless, director of the diocesan Vocation Office, will offer a Lenten reflection and Gary Zimak will discuss how to “Give up Worry for Lent.” Bishop Edward Malesic will address the conference in a pre-recorded message.  For conference registration, visit cmfneo.com. Those who register for the program will receive information on how to access the online portal for the event. Cost for the day is $25 for individuals or group members. I know the times may be difficult for many people. Cleveland Right to Life organization has announced that a generous donor has stepped forward who wants parish youth groups or pro-life groups to send delegates to the 2021 Bringing America Back to Life Convention (March 12-13). A block of these tickets has been reserved and will be distributed on first come first serve basis. A block of tickets includes four 1-day “speakers only” passes (meals would have to be purchased). We do not formally have these groups, but let me know if anyone is interested to represent us in these matters and I will provide more information on how to claim these tickets. General conference flyers are available in the vestibule of the main doors.
